Pousada Alfama is appreciated for its excellent location, close to attractions and with the 28 and 12 trams conveniently running right in front. Guests enjoy the beautiful views from the hotel, with some rooms offering balconies overlooking the Tagus river. The hotel provides complimentary amenities such as water and coffee and also provides a welcome gift of pasteis da nata & ginghna welcome drinks; however, some guests have found certain rooms to be quite small. The courtyard with the Panda wall Artwork provides a fabulous spot to have breakfast and drinks.

the breakfast offered an excellent range of food. i also appreciated the availability of good decaf coffee. the room was pleasant, spotlessly clean, and all the hotel staff were very friendly.

the room i had was very small. this was especially disappointing as i had paid extra for a 'superior' room. the toilet door was a poorly fitting sliding door and had big gaps, so it provided no privacy.

The location was unbeatable. It had easy access to everything. The staff welcomed me so kindly. They were available for any questions. Breakfast offered a good array. It was a wonderful start to each day. The room remained perfectly quiet throughout my stay. I always felt rested.
